Hopping Mad weigh in.

This is the knife that I am using to cut off my leg. We don't own any kind of saw. I checked the shed.

Ta dah. My one hundreth post. I didn't think it would be a dramatic affair but alas it is.

Like I promised. I am cutting off my leg. Which means, that's right people, say it with me, A BIG FAT GAIN. I have no idea how but I managed to gain a frickin' pound. I exercised like a demon on crack. I ate perfectly. I chugged the water. I gained.

I had a deal with Carlos. If I didn't lose this week after the stay the same last week. I was allowed to cry. And I did. Stoopid. Felt a bit sorry for myself. Threatened to quit this journey right here and now. Thank god for the wise parental advice that followed. I am glad they got over my snapping at them to comfort me.

The c25k I am starting today sure is gonna be hard with one leg... wish me luck!

Current weight: 19 stones 8 pounds (274 lbs)
Previous weight: 19 stones 7 pounds (273lbs)
Highest weight: 21 stones 3 pounds (297 lbs)
Weight loss this week: A BIG FAT GAIN
Total weight lost: 1 stone 9 pounds (23 lbs)

No WAY! A friggin gain? After all that effort? That isn't right, not right at all.

So, which leg is it to be - L or R?

Seriously, I know it is hard, but be patient, just wait til you begin to see the results after you begin the C25K (and I know you will rock that even with just one leg).

((((hugs)))

Sorry, but it will come off, and more. You know you did the work!

Scary knife!

Keep the leg - throw out the scales instead.
They LIE!
Example - a glass of water weighs HOW MUCH?
That is so reflected on the scales....perhaps?

Babes!! (i loved that you called me that..it's cute)

So sorry about the demon scale. I hear they are having a sale on peg legs, though I can't remember which store...lol.

I don't know what else to say that hasn't already been said.

I LOVED Anne's advice!! Keep your chin up....and your leg as well...lol....my word verification is hence....weird...

Those kind of weeks are when people stop doing what they need to be doing and giving up!
However, you've come too far to give up and you have the strength to continue to kick ass :)

keep the leg, you'd miss it!!!! You know I am totally with Anne too. Scales are too flighty and that number you see has far too much power! Look at all the hard work you are doing, it WILL pay off. Sometimes nothing happens for ages then WOOOOSH a big loss, or you start to really NOTICE your body changing. It will happen--crying allowed but no quitting! :-D

I can imagine you hobbling along doing the c25k thing. Hahahaha! Love it!

Seriously, don't quit. A gain happens. It does. Promise. I want to quit sometimes too, but the scale is not the most important thing. Its important that you exercised and did all the right things!

It's only a pound. That's hardly a huge gain by any means.

Hugs. Hugs. Some weeks are just like that. It means nothing. Keep going and you'll get past this. Soon you'll be chirping about buying smaller clothes, etc ...

They don't sell just a shoe, you still have to buy pairs. So, maybe you ought to keep that leg. :) Your pants would look funny, too.

It's because your heart is so big!

if you cut off an appendage you'll have a ruff time getting a leg up on the compitition later.

Get a hair cut, trim your nails, and go to the bathroom. There, pound solved.

Hey, I'm always impressed with your stick to it additude. Don't forget this about health, not just a number. If your obsessed with a number I like 3.14 after all PI is good.

and remember A pound is what you do with your head against a wall at foolsfitness during a workout! -Alan

WOOT! 100 posts! That's awesome, congratulations :) So many blogs are started and ended before they reach 100, so you've done well :)

SCREW THE GAIN! You've started C25K, pushed through the pain, and are seriously killing it. That gain is nothing, your determination and effort are what matters.

Hey...that just plain sucks! I hate it so much when it happens, and darn it, it does. I never used to believe people when they said they were good but gained. I do now!!! I know when I exercise a bit harder, I tend to gain. No fair, but I do. I hope you have a HUGE loss next week. Just don't give up!!

I'm not too sure about cutting a leg off...I know I need mine for stuff....

On an unrelated subject...I just realized you're from MAN. I visit Leeds often.
