tired tuesday...

I feel super tired today. Drained I think is a better word. Didn't sleep too well but hopefully by the time it comes round for the gym I should be ok. Tuesdays are mine and my lovely mam's gym day. (she goes as part of a get active scheme run by the government so she doesn't pay.) The people in her class are lovely people but they're not workers. They just chat and do stuff half heartedly. So annoying. One lady always wants to chat when I'm working away on the cross trainer. Very distracting so today I am going to go the gym an hour before so I can get a good work out in but still meet my mam later so I can give her some support. Also to make sure shes not just chatting! I am really proud of my Mam's gym progress.

C25k almost killed me. No jokes. I coughed up some phlegm I didn't know I had. I did it later than usual too because I knew it was going to be hard. But with some tough love motivation from a friend I went out into the drizzle and did it. Before I even started the warm out walk I got a pain in my side. lol. I think it was just a phantom one trying to talk me out of doing it 'cause as soon as I started it disappeared. It stopped raining when I made into the second lap of jogging. Which cheered me alot.

Also I forgot to mention.... Friday... I searched the entire house and found the scales. Hidden in a wardrobe. Had a sneaky weigh in. Had me up 5 pounds. That will teach me to go looking for them. I sharp put them back.

Onwards and downwards, people. Definitely downwards.

I am tired too - have been for a couple of days. I am convinced this dull, dreary weather has confused my body into thinking it is winter and it needs to hibernate!

Glad you did that workout and that nasty phlegm has gone (ick), maybe it was clogging up your lungs and you will breathe better now.

Like your gym plan and serves you right for getting those scales out - maybe their being shifted around so much/being stored on their side etc may be affecting their accuracy?

Enjoy that workout!

I love gym ladies who spend their time chatting. I also see them at the swimming baths, their hair totally dry, gossiping and wondering why they haven't lost weight. You should shoot them a death stare.

Good on you and your mam. Both supporting each other, that's fantastic :)

YOU DID IT! WOO HOO! No need to repeat Week 1, right?

*tsk tsk* on the scale hunting! Did you tell your mam you found them? Has she re-hidden them?

You are sooo inspirational sticking to the gym and C25K as you do! Seriously admire you for it!

I need a new battery for my scale. The bugger has me up 2 lbs but that's only after I tap the stupid thing for five minutes and hop on quick enough before it shoots me a LO and then shuts off.

Haha, I think you will always find those chatty people at the gym anywhere you go. I figure they go more for the socializing than for the workouts... esp those that have their hair all done and full make-up.

If they were working out, they'd be less chatty as its hard to talk much while you're working it. At least, it is for me. My gym is downstairs. I sometimes have the same problem with Husband. He gets the message usually when I don't answer. LOL

You're doing amazing with the exercise. Keep it up. Your body will show off the results ... eventually.

Mine likes to hang onto stuff and then drop in big spurts. Then we go back to the holding pattern. It's just the way I work.

So, don't get discouraged if the results are instant. They will come.

My word verification is rearingu ... LOL LOL

There certainly are lots of ups and downs on the fitness journey. I'm right there with ya.
I find that wearing headphones at the gym is a helpful way to discourage chatter monkeys and also music keeps me motivated.

Me tired too...looks like it's going around!!

Have fun at the gym and hope you get a good workout in before the chatty lady comes to visit =)
